A few months ago I was in Twin Falls, Idaho visiting my parents. When I visit my parents they like my family to go to church with them on Sunday morning. I thought it would be great to send my family to church while I go hunting for geodes around Jack Pot, Nevada. Sunday morning came and as planned I took off for the desert. I had a great morning finding agate and geodes. I actually thought that the geodes didn’t look promising but that was ok since I always enjoy the desert.

That evening when I returned home to Nampa, Idaho I started cutting the geodes. I found that a couple of them had a silhouette of a devils head inside. Was this a divine message about skipping church to hunt for rocks? I called Mom to tell her about the eggs and she laughed stating that God works in mysterious ways. Next time I think I will continue the blasphemy and opt for rocks over church.
